SUMMARY:DBT: Back to Basics and Back to the Future I October 8 - 9 I Virtual Conference
DESCRIPTION:The Society for Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (SfDBT) invites the international DBT community to its Annual Conference on 8–9 October 2026. This year’s virtual conference\, themed “DBT: Back to Basics and Back to the Future\,” brings together clinicians\, researchers and DBT professionals for two days of learning\, discussion and exchange. \nOctober 8th – Conference Day\nTwo keynote talks from International clinical researchers. \n\nMindfulness and Compassion in DBT\n\nProfessor Joaquim Soler\, Barcelona\n\n\nOptimizing Treatment Duration in DBT\n\nProfessor Alex Chapman\, British Columbia\n\n\n\nIn addition we have a series of masterclasses on aspects of DBT which may be more challenging to understand\, implement\, or teach clients.  (See the downloadable programme to the right of the screen). \nOctober 9th – Workshop Day\nTwo half day workshops: \n\nTherapy Interfering Behaviour in DBT\n\nDr. Esme Shaller.\n\n\nRecovering from Invalidation\n\n Dr. Jake Camp\n\n\n\nOn both of the days during the breaks there will be themed breakout rooms to allow you to have tea/coffee and chat to others working in similar settings or populations. You will be able to choose a room and move between rooms during the breaks to allow you to network. \nThe CPD committee will share information on the full range of CPD opportunities across the year\, and funding available to support your development.  Updates from the European and World DBT associations will be shared. \nVisit the SfDBT website for the full programme\, further information and registration.
